Instructions
Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat. Add the deli roast beef and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side until warmed through.
Place a slice of cheese on top of the warmed beef in the skillet. Cover with a lid and let it melt slightly, about 1 minute.
Spread mayonnaise and mustard (if using) on the inside of the sub rolls or sandwich bread.
Layer the warmed beef and melted cheese onto the bottom half of each roll. Top with tomato slices, lettuce, and a sprinkle of salt and black pepper.
