Ingredients

  • 4 medium carrots peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup water for blending
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice optional, for added flavor
  • to taste honey or sugar optional, for sweetness

Instructions
 

  • Wash the carrots thoroughly and peel them. Chop them into small pieces for easier blending.
  • If using a juicer, feed the carrot pieces into the juicer and collect the juice. Skip to step 5.
  • If using a blender, add the chopped carrots and water to the blender. Blend until smooth.
  • Strain the blended mixture using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to separate the juice from the pulp.
  • Mix in lemon juice and honey or sugar if desired. Stir well to combine.
  • Pour the carrot juice into glasses, add ice cubes if using, and serve immediately. Enjoy!

Notes

This carrot juice is best enjoyed fresh to retain its nutrients. You can customize it by adding ginger, orange, or apple for extra flavor. Leftover pulp can be used in soups or baked goods.
