This recipe replicates Golden Corral's famous baked chicken, known for its juicy interior and flavorful, crispy skin. Perfect for family dinners or gatherings.
1tablespoonhoneyoptional, for a touch of sweetness
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, lemon juice, and honey (if using) to create the marinade.
Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight, to allow flavors to penetrate.
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange the marinated chicken pieces in a baking dish in a single layer.
Bake the chicken for 45–50 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Baste the chicken with its juices halfway through cooking to enhance moisture and flavor.
Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.
Notes
For an extra crispy skin, broil the chicken for the last 2–3 minutes of cooking, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.
