1/2cupbreadcrumbslow-sodium or made from unsalted bread
1largeeggbeaten
1/4cuponionfinely chopped
1teaspoongarlic powder
1teaspoononion powder
1/2teaspoondried thyme
1/4teaspoonblack pepper
1/4cupunsalted tomato sauce
1tablespoonunsalted ketchupfor topping (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, chopped onion, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, black pepper, and unsalted tomato sauce. Mix until just combined.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared loaf pan and shape it into a loaf. Spread the unsalted ketchup on top, if using.
Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
Remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!
