  • 1 pound frozen French fries or homemade
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar, Monterey Jack, or your choice
  • 4 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons green onions chopped
  • to taste salt and black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven according to the instructions for the frozen French fries (typically 425°F/220°C). Spread the fries evenly on a baking sheet.
  • Bake the fries for 20-25 minutes, or until golden and crispy. Remove from the oven.
  • While the fries are baking, cook the bacon until crispy. Let it cool slightly, then crumble into small pieces.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the hot fries. Return the fries to the oven for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
  • Remove the fries from the oven and top with crumbled bacon, a drizzle of sour cream, and chopped green onions. Add salt and black pepper to taste.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy this indulgent treat with your favorite dipping sauces!

Notes

For a fun twist, try adding jalapeños, diced tomatoes, or guacamole to your loaded fries. This recipe can also be adapted with sweet potato fries for a healthier option.
