Main Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon salt kosher or sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika smoked or sweet
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary crushed
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper optional, for heat

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients: salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, thyme, rosemary, and cayenne pepper (if using).
  • Whisk or stir the ingredients until evenly blended.
  • Transfer the seasoning blend to an airtight container for storage. Store in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months.
  • Use the seasoning blend to rub onto your pot roast before cooking, or add directly to the cooking liquid for enhanced flavor.

Notes

This Pot Roast Seasoning is versatile and can also be used for steaks, chicken, or roasted vegetables. Adjust the cayenne pepper to your heat preference.
