Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional, for heat
  • to taste salt and black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Season the shrimp with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  • Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using), and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic butter sauce. Drizzle with lemon juice and cook for another minute.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve warm with crusty bread, rice, or pasta.
